**Joanasie Manning SIGNATURE Owl carving
Masterpiece Carving! Museum quality Sculpture!
A group of owls is called a "parliament".
Owls roost together to find mates, keep warm, share information and watch for predators.
PARLIAMENT IS IN SESSION is a magical carving by Master Carver Joanasie Manning who is an international superstar known for his SIGNATURE Owls!
Joanasie is internationally recognized for his Signature Canadian Snowy Owls.
Manning's Owls are easily recognizable for their somewhat square proportions, large inlaid eyes with their big black pupils and white sclera, triangular nose and chunky feet.
Joanasie loves to place his Owls in family groups or in parliaments of adult birds.
I love how Joanasie's Owls are frequently comical, quizzical, bewildered or sometimes stern!
Their personalities lift your mood and immediately bonds you to them.
Usually Manning's birds are a jet black colour but here he has used a beautiful mottled green speckled with rich gold.
Additionally, these Owls have stunning yellow eyes instead of the more common white eyes.
Manning is known for carving incredible inlaid eyes for his Owls.
There is no artist that has mastered this grueling technique quite like Manning.
Fitting the eyes into the stone takes experience and skill.
How many Manning Owls are in your collection?
They are very hard to resist.
