Magnificent Movement!
Like so many of Pootoogook’s small dancing subjects, Right This Way appears to be enjoying himself immensely.
This bear is full of energy and joy!
I am particularly drawn the positions of his arms.
His right arm is extended to the side as if he is directing traffic.
The vibrant apple green colour of this stone is swirled with neon yellow veins. The colour appears to swirl which creates movement and virbration.
Amazing!
The Mosesee has demonstrated his talent for portraying grace and beautiful movement in his all his dancing bears.
This sculpture is the perfect entry-level carving for someone who is beginning an Inuit carving collection.
And this is also the perfect gift to brighten someone's day or give as a Mother or Father's Day present.
